Hello everyone, stay tuned after the show to listen to Space Magic, a song written and performed by our guest David Bizzaro!
I’m Carlos and this is episode number 9. Puppets help us see the magic all around us no matter our age. Today, David Bizzaro talks to us about his journey from production into puppetry. He explains how his mother’s grit and a little lie eventually led him to be an Emmy winning puppeteer.
David Bizzaro is an Emmy winning puppeteer based in NYC with over two decades of TV, film, puppetry, and puppet building experience. He’s worked for legendary clients like Sesame Street, The Jim Henson Company, and The Flaming Lips. He’s a first-generation Salvadoran-American looking to fill the Salvi-community-shaped pit in his heart.

Hey Carlos My maternal grandfather last name was GUADRON…from Suchitoto….
Hi Jaime! Cool! A guy replied to the last post saying his maternal grandfather also had the last name Guadron and he was also from Suchitoto! Coincidence?
Yes there is a so called Salvadorean Corridor…in LA …but sorry its looks bad. It could be 100xs better…like the Metrocentro Mall in SS…a prime location for CentralAmerican Business/social/cultural MALL…BUT something I will never understand is the huge DISCONNECT between the Consulados/embassies/ the private business sector to build OUR own infraestrcuture/superstructure…businees, media, politics, etc. I called the Cosulados and they either dont CARE, they dont even have a cultural/business attache… there is NO plan/vision for Salvis en USA from now to about 10yrs+ nothing…Sometimes IT seems that the Salvadorean consulados, civil organizations, etc. HAVE been TOLD to just shut up and obey the larger Mexican agenda…which is NOT from us, for us, its not in our best long term interests…soloel pueblo SALVA al pueblo…Salvadoreans in USA have a lot of growing UP to do..we don’t even have a single rep in city, state, federal level…even Haitians, and somali, have a congressional member….and alvis are supposely the majority in Washington DC..!!!! whats the use????
Hey Frank, yes it is indeed frustrating that sometimes it seems like the government doesn’t support the community abroad. However, Salvadorans need to support each other regardless. Let’s keep supporting each other and trying to improve our communities.
Also, I’m happy to tell you that New York State has a Salvadoran Senator! Her name is Monica R. Martinez, a democrat of the 3rd Senate District.
